We hope you all are having a wonderful and relaxing summer! In anticipation of the new school year, the 2011-2012 calendar, fee sheets and Europe trip information have been mailed.
All fees are due by
September 2, 2011.
Fees can be paid in person at schedule pick-up, through the mail to our orchestra P.O. Box, turned in at school in the orchestra room, or paid online
(Fee and Uniform Orders page).
Fees
Student dues are essential to providing a superior orchestra experience. These dues help pay for student awards, music, clinicians, supplies, program printing, Large Group Performance Evaluation fees, instrument repair and purchases, and scholarships for private lesson, summer music camps, and college music majors.
Students who have not paid their dues will not be eligible for awards, scholarships, fine arts graduation cords, or optional trips.
Uniforms
The orchestra uniform consists of a polo shirt with orchestra logo, concert gown for ladies, and tuxedo for gentlemen. The uniform is required for all performances and orchestra events. Uniforms can be ordered
online.
Cello and Bass Fees
All cello and bass players need to pay an instrument usage fee for the year. This fee pays for the care and maintenance of the school's instruments that your student(s) uses during the school day, including string replacements, repairs, and bow re-hairs.
Europe Trip
Our orchestra trip this year is to Germany, The Czech Republic, and Switzerland. The trip is optional and is open to ALL Duluth Orchestra students. However, students planning to go on the trip must be current on all dues and fees. To enroll in the trip, parents should visit
www.eftours.com and sign up using tour numer 1008570.
We are looking forward to seeing all of our new and returning students at schedule pickup on August 4th. Please stop by the orchestra table to say "hello", pay fees and get any question you may have about orchestra answered.
All the best,
Dr. Peter Lemonds, Director
Mrs. Shawn Morton, Director
